Against the backdrop of the manufacturing industry’s continuous pursuit of quality and efficiency improvements, upgrading old equipment has become a practical choice for many enterprises. Recently, Shenzhen Dingli Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (Dingli Technology) successfully carried out a renovation project on an oxidation production line that had been in service for over eight years for a long-standing client in Foshan specializing in aluminum product processing. Due to equipment aging and outdated control methods, the line had gradually experienced slower cycle times and increased failure rates, affecting normal production operations.
After conducting on-site surveys and thorough communication with the client, Dingli Technology’s technical team formulated a renovation plan centered on “preserving the main structure while upgrading key systems.” The renovation focused on three main areas: first, replacing the original relay control system with integrated PLC control to achieve automatic coordination and status monitoring of each station; second, optimizing the hoist travel rail and lifting mechanism to improve handling stability and positioning accuracy; third, redesigning the inner tank structure and heating tube layout of some tanks to enhance bath temperature uniformity. The entire renovation was implemented in phases to minimize disruption to the client’s normal production schedule.
After the renovation, actual production verification showed that the overall operational cycle time of the production line was reduced by approximately 20%, and unplanned downtime caused by equipment failures decreased significantly. The client reported that operator workload has been noticeably reduced, production line stability markedly enhanced, and product quality consistency better ensured. The investment cost for this renovation was only about one-third of that for a new production line, a cost-effectiveness ratio recognized by the client.
Dingli Technology believes that scientifically renovating existing production lines is an effective way to achieve intensive resource utilization and help clients reduce costs and improve efficiency. As a manufacturer specializing in surface treatment equipment, we not only provide new oxidation and electroplating production line equipment but are also committed to leveraging our technical experience to offer feasible renovation and optimization services for existing clients, supporting them in maintaining stable operations amid market competition.
