In the delivery of industrial equipment, on-site conditions are often the key factor determining whether a production line can truly perform effectively. Recently, an electroplating production line project designed and implemented by Dingli Technology for an automotive parts manufacturer in Zhejiang exemplified a typical practice in responding to complex site conditions. The client's existing production area was constrained by narrow space, limited floor load-bearing capacity, and the need to accommodate multiple plating processes within the original workshop while meeting stringent local environmental discharge requirements.
Upon receiving the requirements, Dingli Technology's technical team did not immediately apply a standard solution. Instead, they made two site visits for field measurements and condition analysis. The team focused on assessing floor load distribution, existing drainage and ventilation systems, material flow paths, and potential future process expansions, and held multiple rounds of discussions with the client's production management to clarify the design principles of "compact layout, functional zoning, and reserved flexibility."
Based on field data, the design team proposed several targeted measures: a three-dimensional stacked structure was adopted to integrate some rinsing and recovery tanks, reducing the footprint; power supplies and control systems were relocated to an adjacent bay to alleviate the load on the main production area; for multi-process needs, a flexible rack conveying path and tank solution isolation scheme were designed; meanwhile, a modular wastewater pre-treatment unit was integrated at the end of the production line, allowing discharge quality to directly interface with the plant's existing environmental system.
During the installation phase, Dingli's project team coordinated closely, making fine adjustments to some pipelines and interfaces based on actual site conditions. Since commissioning, the line has not only met the client's need for multi-variety, small-batch electroplating processing in a limited space but has also maintained energy consumption and wastewater discharge below the client's expectations, receiving specific recognition from both operational staff and management.
